D. USING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

 

The personal information you submit to us through our websites will be used for the purposes specified in this policy or on the relevant pages of the website. We may use your personal information for the following purposes:

  • send statements, invoices and payment reminders and collect data from you;

  • send an email newsletter, if you have requested it (you can tell us at any time if you do not want to continue subscribing to the newsletter);

E. DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We may disclose your personal information to any member of our group of companies (this includes subsidiaries, our group and all of its subsidiaries), as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy.

  • to establish, exercise or defend our legal rights (including providing personal information to others for the purpose of fraud prevention and credit risk reduction);

F. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFER

 

The information we collect may be stored, processed and transferred between any of the countries in which we operate, in order to enable us to use the information in accordance with this policy.

 

The information we collect may be transferred to the following countries where we do not have data protection laws equivalent to those in force in Costa Rica or the European Economic Area: United States of America, Panama, Israel and India.

 

You explicitly consent to the transfers of personal information described in this section F.

 

G. RETAINING PERSONAL INFORMATION

 

This Section G sets forth our personal information retention policies and procedures, designed to help ensure that we comply with our legal obligations regarding the retention and deletion of personal information.

 

Personal information that we process for any purpose or purposes should not be stored for longer than is necessary for that purpose or purposes.

Without prejudice to article G-2, we will usually delete personal data that falls within the categories mentioned below on the date and time determined below:

 

  • personal data will be deleted after 5 years from the last update received.

  • Notwithstanding the other provisions of this section G, we will retain documents (including electronic documents) that contain personal data:

  • to the extent required by law;

  • if we believe the documents may be relevant to any current or prospective legal proceedings; Y

  • to establish, exercise or defend our legal rights (including providing personal information to others for the purpose of fraud prevention and credit risk reduction).

 

H. SECURITY OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

 

We will take reasonable technical and organizational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information.

 

We will store all the personal information you give us on our secure servers (protected by password and intrusion prevention mechanisms).

All electronic financial transactions made through our websites will be protected by encryption technology.

 

You agree that the transmission of information over the Internet is inherently insecure and that we cannot guarantee the security of data sent over the Internet.

 

I. AMENDMENTS

 

We may update this policy from time to time by posting a new version on our websites. You should occasionally check this page to ensure that you understand any changes to this policy. We may notify you of changes to this policy by email or through our website's private messaging system.

 

J. YOUR RIGHTS

 

You may ask us to provide you with any personal information we hold about you; The delivery of said information will be subject to the following:

 

  • Coordinate an appointment with our legal partner, through our email legal@stitcyber.com;

  • The payment of a fee of 10 dollars of the United States of America or its equivalent in Costa Rican currency corresponding to the day of the request according to the Central Bank of Costa Rica and;

  • that you present appropriate evidence of your identity in person, and with a previously scheduled appointment, at the offices of our legal partner located in Costa Rica, San Jose, Guadalupe, Esquivel Bonilla, Transversal 45; Presenting the original and a copy of your identity card if you are a resident of Costa Rica or presenting the original along with a photocopy of your passport;

  • You must have an email address where the information will be sent within a period not exceeding 30 days.

  • We may retain personal information that you request from us to the extent permitted by law.

 

You can ask us at any time not to process your personal information for marketing purposes.

 

In practice, you will usually either explicitly consent in advance to our use of your personal information for marketing purposes, or we will give you the opportunity to opt out of the use of your personal information for marketing purposes.

 

K. THIRD PARTY WEBSITES

Our websites include hyperlinks to, and information from, third party websites. We have no control over, and are not responsible for, the privacy policies and practices of third parties.

 

L. UPDATE INFORMATION

Please let us know if the personal information we hold about you needs to be corrected or updated.

 

COOKIES

Our websites use cookies. A cookie is a file containing an identifier (a string of letters and numbers) that is sent from a web server to a web browser and stored in the browser. The identifier is sent back to the server each time the browser requests a page from the server. Cookies can be "persistent" or "session". A persistent cookie will be stored by a web browser and will remain valid until its expiration date, unless the user deletes it before the expiration date. A session cookie will expire at the end of the user's session, when the browser is closed. Cookies typically do not contain any information that personally identifies the user but rather personal information that we store about you that can be linked to the information stored in and obtained from cookies.

 

The names of the cookies that we may use on our websites and the purposes for which they are used are specified below:

  • we use Google Analytics and Adwords on our websites to recognize a computer when a user: visits the website, improve the usability of the website, analyze the use of the website, administer the website, prevent fraud and improve the security of the website;

    • Blocking cookies will have a negative impact on the usability of many websites. If you block cookies, you will not be able to use all the functions of your website.

  • You can also delete the cookies already stored on your computer;
